No map as yet, as my travel today was all by train. A few hours up to Carlisle, a 20-minute delay that meant I almost missed my connection to the last train of the day, then a slow, rickety two-carriage affair that stopped at such places as Workington and Corkickle, before depositing me at St Bees where Elizabeth (whose train had arrived a few minutes earlier, from the other direction) waved at me from the other platform. It started raining as soon as we got back from brushing our teeth, but it’s quite a nice sound. The car alarm that was going off earlier (this is primarily a caravan park) has ceased and now we can hear the sea, the lambs and sheep in the next field, and the birds singing into the dusk. It’s nearly 10pm but still very light outside. Fingers crossed for some decent sleep!
